The Best and Brightest Student Interns in the Orlando Area - At Your Fingertips!

OASIS internships are a "win-win" scenario for your company and the student it hosts. By bridging the gap between the classroom and the office, our program brings fresh talent and new ideas to your organization. And since OASIS only caters to the most ambitious, talented students, you'll know you're getting an "A+" intern who will be a valuable asset to your workplace.

The Benefits of Hosting an Intern:

  • Reduced training time and expense. Because they're already studying your discipline, interns can "get up to speed" more quickly than entry-level employees. Additionally, interns can satisfy seasonal needs, fill short-term staffing requirements and assist with special projects, saving you the expense of temporary staffing.

  • A substantial recruiting advantage. By utilizing prominent college students, your company will gain a wealth of future candidates for your workforce, reducing your reliance on secondary markets. Furthermore, being able to observe interns at work will give you more confidence when making full-time hiring decisions in the future.

  • A stronger business image. Participating in an internship program demonstrates your company's commitment to improving your business. By fostering a positive work environment for students, you'll create a reputation of desirable employment which extends throughout the industry.

How Can My Company Get Started With An Internship?

First, your company should consider what its needs are and how you feel an intern can contribute to your organization. The internship you create should have a certain level of responsibility and relevance to careers in the student's particular field. OASIS will supply you with a "Host Packet" which will walk you through the steps of identifying a position, creating a training plan, and developing a system for grading the student's performance.

Once a position has been established, you'll be given access to a large selection of academically successful, highly motivated students seeking to further their classroom studies in an experiential atmosphere. OASIS will guide you and your Human Resources department throughout the entire process of setting up a quality internship and selecting the ideal candidate to fill it.

Does it Cost Money to Host an Intern?

There is no cost for arranging an internship. Employers are not expected to compensate interns for their work; however, you may wish to assist an intern toward personal expenses associated with the internship. Interns are considered seasonal employees and therefore do not require the normal benefits of direct-hire employees such as health insurance, tax withholding or worker's compensation.
